Our knitting group meets twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Monday, from 2pm to 4pm in the church hall. The ladies work very hard to produce a range of clothing and other items to support overseas mission. Since 2011, they have produced 542 jumpers and cardigans, 83 blankets, 253 hats, 451 scarf sets, 156 scarfs, 72 mittens, 102 soft toys, 107 vests, 21 fisherman’s mittens, 5 hand puppets, 54 finger puppets and 45 pencil cases – phew! They also enjoy a cup of tea and fellowship together (and the odd biscuit or two). Everyone is welcome, regardless of your knitting ability. The ladies have even had a go at teaching our minister Edward to knit – with uninspiring results!
